Time alone is good

I've been alone on a job for two days already. Today may possibly mark the end of my carefree life, just before the beautiful dream comes to an end I had the impulse to write an entry.

The most important things go first: food at jookoon is really horrible..I'm not a food connoisseur at all, but the rice they use here are definitely the lowest grade, lowest quality ones. On days where I have gravy to go along all goes fine, it was only a few days ago when I either had to force chicken rice down my throat or go hungry that I realised how bad the grains tasted.

At the particular canteen where I always dabao my food, I noticed there were many big-sized angmohs working in the vicinity. Since I'm in the manufacturing industrial area, most of blue-collar angmohs workers sighted would have HUGE tattoos on their arms. Was so tempted to fish out my camera phone. I could close my eyes and point to any one of them and you can be sure they look like those you see in the movies - red skin, visible beard stubs, gigantic sized and yes, more good looking than any asian out there. But after looking at how much rice they can gorge on, I resolved not to go anywhere near them.

And while I'm at the client's place, some of them can really be like angels and bring joy to my life. Some can be real nasty though, especially those who have been ex-auditors (auditor friends out there I'm sure you'll know what I mean in no time). Visitors to the place would sometimes peer through the glass of the room and I would catch a bewildered gaze in their facial expression. Meeting room = Power = By oneself = Little girl??

And last but not least, I totally enjoy life alone. True, there's no senior around to answer my 1001 questions, but since the job here is more or less done there are actually very few questions to raise anyway. The more stressful moments would only be to pace myself at work and to update the client on the latest work progress.

And very soon, this good life will end.
